Pastors Clint and Amy Claypoole

ClaypoolesPastor Clint Claypoole is the senior pastor of the New Life church in Canton, GA. He and his wife, Amy, lead this exciting fellowship with a passion to see people experience an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor Claypoole celebrates a biblical concept of worship, growing and serving as the foundation of the New Life congregation. His leadership has become the catalyst that has launched the New Life church into a season of favor and blessings. The Claypooles are blessed with two beautiful children, Logan and Bailey.

Pastors Travis and Brittany Jones

JonesPastors Travis and Brittany Jones started with the children's ministry in June 2006. Before they became the Children’s Pastors they served as Youth Sponsors for 3 years. Children’s Ministry is the last place that they ever imagined serving,but now there is no other place that they would rather be.

Travis is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a double minor in Mathematics and Chemistry. And he plans on pursuing a Master’s of Divinity from the Church of God Theological Seminary in 2008.

Brittany currently attends Lee University and is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Theology and a minor in Biblical Languages, and after that plans on attending Westminster Theological Seminary and pursuing a Masters in Apologetics.

Brittany is also the Children's drama director. She has been teaching drama for the last 5 years, and feels that it is a great area of communication and outreach. And, in March ’07 took a group of 22 kids from ages 7 - 12 to Jr. Talent, and there they received Superior Ratings.

In Travis' spare time he enjoys running, working out, and traveling. And Brittany enjoys shopping, interior decorating, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. They also have 2 Miniature Schnauzers named Isaac and Maggie. And their favorite food is Mexican.

Pastors Derek & Katherine Knoke

KnokesDerek joined the New Life team in January 2005 as the student pastor. Sensing the Lord’s continued leading, Derek transitioned into the role of Pastor of Ministry Development. He oversees small groups, visitor assimilation, deacon ministry, and administrative tasks. Derek is excited to see people discover their calling and become equipped and engaged in ministry for God’s Kingdom.

Katherine is the Administrator of New Life Christian Academy, and also teaches Hebrew at the Church of God Theological Seminary.

Derek and Katherine are graduates of Lee University, and have also earned Masters of Divinity degrees at the Church of God Theological Seminary. Derek and Katherine enjoy being with family, laughing, writing, and participating in various sports (go Tarheels).

If Derek could recommend just one book it would be Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

Pastors Lance and Lorie Turner

TurnersPastors Lance and Lorie Turner came to New Life in March of 2005. Together they oversee the music, drama, and media ministries. They believe every Christian is called to a lifestyle of worship.

Lance is a graduate of Lee College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. Lorie is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Lance finds enjoyment in playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with family. He is also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan (Go Dogs!) Lorie enjoys shopping, music, volleyball and spending time with family.

One book Lance would recommend would be The Heart of the Artist by Rory Noland.

Pastors Stan and Lynne Wheeler

Pastor Stan Wheeler, MA, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Regent University. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Pastor Stan was in private practice in counseling for 10 years after earning his Master’s degree, and has been self employed for the last 8 years. He has been a member of New Life Worship Center for 3 years and is currently pursuing ordination through the Church of God.
